I have just spent all day trying to fit my engine using minisport solid engine mounts and have concluded that they are not gonna fit without modification. Has anyone got any tips for fitting these? When bolted onto the engine they appear to be wider than standard mounts so I can get one side done but the other side won't drop down low enough to get a bold in.
Help please!
Sam

I has a similar problem.

I elongated the holes on the radiator bracket to effectively make the engine shorter.

Thanks for the replies, so its not just me fitting them wrong. I have already tried jumping on the engine and it ain't moving. Why can't companies make things right? This is obviously a common problem. Looking at the quality of these mounts I am very tempeted to just fabricate my own mounts as I reckon I could do a far better job. One of the captive nuts has already come off and I have only put a bolt in it once!

Sounds a bit poo to me. Ive gone to Poly Flex ones after the experience with the S and they are much better, they still needed some shoe horning in but were fine.

Dont want to hjack this thread like a mother bitch but...

What is the best type of mount to go for in peoples opinion? And what are the differences as far as driving goes?

Ive just bought the standard rubber type. Ive got poly bushes on the subframe.

Cheers,

Ben.
