Been having a bit of trouble with the fuelling on my N/A motor.
it goes through all rev range nicely.

Problem, when the bloke was checking the mixture for 4krpm he held it there for about 20 secs at 60ishmph running fine. Suddenly started backfiring and we think it was down to fuel starvation.

Checked the float valve and ive got movement in that and no obstructions to be seen.

Ive got a facet block type Std performance fuel pump that "should" be able to fuel the engine adequatly. However im running it through 10mm bore fuel pipe.

Im thinking there is a pressure drop somewhere along the line in which case i may need a higher pressure pump. What do you think?

Ta very much

Sounds like the pump can make the pressure but not the volume required.

Test the pump, you need around 1 litre per min to be safe.

I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry.

go get a few meters or normal size fuel pipe and bypass your 10mm fuel pipe and see if that helps.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
