Or Ben whichever you choose. I picked up my first Mini sometime around Sept. last year. It is a 1981 998 with a stage1 kit and upgraded to the 12in. rims with 8.4 disks from an '84. I live in the U.S. and have been interested in the possible turbo conversion. Though a 1275 would be great, I have developed a passion for the small bore engines. Problem is parts are hard to get/find in the U.S. (easier for the large bore but still a little rough) My history with Minis goes back to my parents owning 2 while we spent 7+ years in England. I was under the age of 8 when we moved back to the states and have only had an occasional Mini World/Mini Magazines and over the last year I've finally started in forums to put in in the know of whats out there for the little cars we all love. It's in the works |

Well I ran a quick search on the 998 turbo before I joined and at a glance I would agree. Thanks for the welcome. The turbo conversion is one of a few ideas I'm toying with. I used her as a daily driver until I found 2 burned valves and plan to continue daily use after she's back up. It's in the works |

I've been slowly reading in the 998 section but i'm lost. Which would be the best topic or topics to read for economy, general performance, and build? I don't want to start a topic asking the same questions already answered. If the answer is read it all, that doesn't bother me I'm planning on doing that anyway. It's in the works |

Thanks Rob I hadn't got to that one yet. 7 pages of topics is a bit much when you don't know where to start. I just started in forums last year. This is only the third forum I've joined. It's in the works |
