I have finished fitting the intercooler(never knew there were so many confectioners on this forum) to the A35 and have been bleeding to about 10psi.The wastegate is still opening, I think, because the boost drops after a few secs WOT at higher revs.Question.Which way do I screw the rod from the wastegate to actuator -towards the wastegate or towards the actuator? How much extra am I likely to get from doing this?.I have to strip a lot out to get at the rod so wont do it till I have some idea. You think a Mini engine bay is full until you have seen mine!

Hi,
It might be the spring has gone weak, in which case you'll be wasting your time :(
You shorten the rod to hold more boost if you want to give it a go.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Thanks guys. Will try adjusting the rod and then reset the bleed until I get 10lbs on the guage. If it wont work it looks like Avonbar will be getting some more of my money before I get it on the rollers at Peter Baldwins.
