Rich do u have the 3 clock dash ? As mine did this a while ago and it was the plug at the back where it went in to the PCB it move some of the PCB pick ups and all hell broke loose. Just make sure its plugged in correctly and no sitting skew or somethin

Do the later 3 clock dashes have voltage regulators? Yeah I did some reading and from what i can tell the older ones, made by Smiths have the voltage stabilisers on the back of the pod. The newer ones made by a jap company have the voltage stabiliser hidden away inside the pod itself! My mate's got a spare 3 clock pod, the older type which im gonna try. Will help me to determine if its the stabiliser or the sender/associated connections!! Not sure why the two backlights arent working and the temp gauge goes skitz every now and then but I hope trying the new one will show me where the problemo is! |

Hi, Rich, that'll be a bad earth in the boot
Cheers, Gavin :) The earth on the tank? Haynes said its earthed through the numberplate lights and the main earth harness in the boot is a strong one!! Mind you i did see a spare earth wire floating around with a spade connector on the back not connected to anything, forgot about that i'll go check... Edited by richminiturbo. on 6th Jul, 2008. |
