I'd make them slightly smaller, I made mine a tad on the big side & it's easier to cut away metal if it's too small than it is to add more metal.

i've made the wooden tool simular to the one jimbo from wales used, this was my 1st shakey go at marking it out, just to try the tool out to be honest, i think i need a finer pen too,

i'm not 100% sure what you mean by making it smaller?

i'll defo not just blast into it with my 9" grinder lol

Basically don't cut out too much metal in one go, just do a bit at a time, does that make more sense?

on the main inner arch where it tapers i'll cut there 1st i thought then do the chopping of the rear 1/4 panel after, bring it level with a sanding disk on the grinder was my thought & use the new metal to form the arch lip

hope that makes sense!

looks ok dont it??? i feel fairly happy, just gotta weld my new metal inv then the other side......

a few ppl have said to me if i'm fitting coilovers in the future i should hammer the sqaure bit that the shock mounts through then weld it to the arch, flattening it out to creat space if you understand my description, any opinions??
