Hey guys,

Ive made my dash now and I want to try and upholster it myself.

I wouldnt mind some sort of suede looking stuff, or some sort of flock? Need to see whats available really. And I think i'l need some sort of thin foam sheet, to cover it with first, then cover it with the vinal/suede/flock stuff.

Does anyone know of a place / website that sells this sort of stuff?

Thanks,

Ben.

Cheers Nic,

From what people have said in that thread, I think i'l stay away from the DIY flock kits.

Quite like what MikeRace has used on his dash, i'l have to ask him what hes used.

MikeRace's dash looks the dog's danglies mate.
Just a tad too sophisticated for me*happy*
If you're making the dash from MDF (you obviously have no respect for power-to-weight ratios) You could stick a sheet of thin foam onto the MDF with PVA glue or something the just stretch the final material across it and staple it to the back.

Indeed it does.

MDF? What gave you that idea? *tongue*

Its mostly carbon fibre, with some parts steel sheet, and for the parts that are steel I want to cover them in something.

Thats the plan with the foam etc, im just not sure where sells it?!

Thanks,

Ben.
