Basically as stated above, can the bmw head be fitted to a mpi block?

only real dificulty/ difference is mounting the alternator.

Yes mate, no major issues other than where to drain the oil to. You could use the cam sensor hole but thats a little on the small side *wink*

what about down the back of the block, were the oil drains on the turbo's. Also can all of the standard sensors be retained or am i going to have to fit a trigger wheel and so on, i'm planning on just using the emerald ecu as i like the 3 map function

You cant use the cam sensor if you use the hole for an oil drain, obviously. You wont need the cam sensor anyway in 99% of builds.

You wont be able to use the standard crank position sensor as that is part of the flywheel, any one sane enough would swap out the flywheel for a light weight steel one. You would then need to fit a sensor kit of the varius ones available.

One thing I can naver get my head round was having three fuel maps? whats that all about?
