Hello ,
I'd like to know what is the "Rubber Balance pipe"??
I know it's a piece fitted on Turbo SU carb but which??

Also, I 'd like to know the needle I must use for a engine which have a MED stage 2 head and 14 psi boost pressure??

Thank a lot. *laughing*

The rubber balance pipe is a short length that connects two outlet stubs on the carb. Have a look at some pictures in the photos section you will soon spot one.

As for the needle there is no point trying to guess at 999 times out of 1000 you will be absolutely nowhere near. Given the risk with a blown a series of melting a piston its not worth the risk. everyone here will tell you the same, get it on the rollers.

Thank Alex,

I ask this question (about the needle) because I have seen that jimster had fitted a MED stage 2 head in the past.
So i would try to have his point of view.

it retards the ignition to stop pinking associated with high boost but lets you run more advance lower down the boost levels to get better off boost driveability.

basically its good stuff that helps your engine performance.

It's a knocking sensor?
Or it's a electronical device you have to add to traditionnal dizzy?

it is basically an interupter. delays the signal to the dizzy by fractions of a second. its basically an ecu (well part of one)

fits wherever you want it too. has a built in map sensor.

So hijacking a bit, where are these available from, or are they still in development by someone?

What is the likely cost, will they be adjustable/programmable?

Cheers
