why is it that the widest 10" tyre that any good is only 165 section not 175? i know quite a few people on here run pritty wide 10" wheels, what tyres do you use on them?
i want to get some 10x6 or 10x6.5 wheels and 165 seems alittle bit to small.
is it safe to use 165/70's on 6.5" wide wheels?

The reason most people use 165s is that's all that's available, if you can find 175 let us know where.

Another reason is that a Mini doesn't really need wider tyres...

You can have 205/50 tires (or tyres): . However, I would not use them (unless you want the look but be prepared for bad handling).

Hi,
I think anything past 5" wide is too much for 165s. Plus what he said ^^^^ *happy*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

do you have to use tubes on yours iain?
i do like 13's but the look i want my car to have is better suited for 10's and as my sig says 12's are for people with questionable sexuality :)
