I am sure this isn't right, my temp gauge showing the needle just above the blue line, i am sure this is not the optimum running temp. I have a thermostat in (not sure which one though) two core rad and 4 blade fan. Two things i suppose change the thermostat and or change the 2 core rad to a standard rad. Any thoughts?

So, at what temp is the blue line? You need to get a proper gauge.

Depends on what the middle marker is temperaturewise, but often the middle is OK *wink*

Hi,
You need to find out if the engine is actually at the right temp and the guage is wrong or vice versa

Same here, I magically fixed my over heating problem by fitting a Race Tech gauge.

Hi,
Buy a good gauge as mentioned above, or borrow one of those infra red temp guns and measure the head temp with that *wink*
For what a gauge would cost it's worth it to protect your engine, you need to be able to believe what your instruments tell you.
Cheers,
Gavin :)
