I cant figure out why, when I rev to about 4500/5000 rpm the boost starts to drop.It rises steadily(rapidly) to the setting I am using(about 9/10 psi) and then drops away to 5 or less as the revs rise.
I am using a MT plenum with the standard dump valve blocked off and a bleed valve on the boost line to the actuator.Could it be the actuator doing its job?.

Hi,
Could be the spring has gone weak in the actuator, or you could have a leak somewhere.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Is there any way to change the spring in the standard actuator ?.If it is weak Im told there is very little point in trying to pre load it -Im still budgeting for a decent actuator.

Hi,
No unfortunately, it's all crimped together.
More pre-load would prove the point as to it's condition though...
Cheers,
Gavin :)

mine did that when i had a crap actuator and bleed valve. Replaced it one and uprated one with a fair bit of preload and its fine now.
