Hi lads.
Need some help.

Was looking through the million and one articles about putting metty discs on a Mini. And been getting very confused cos I don't know what a flange is or which bit the hub is!

Anyone care to point out all the different parts?Or maybe a link to some drawings or something?

Thanks a lot

Tom

the flange is the round bit with the 4 wheel studs on, the first bit you see when you remove the wheel. this is bolted to the disc with 4 bolts.

the hub is the big bit behind the disc which houses the bearing and the balljoints.

you could do with a haynes manual mate.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

A quick google search should point you in the right direction. :)

Hi,
I can't help, I took the frowned on approach and bolted the whole metty assy to my Mini. I've not touched ball joints in 10 years *happy*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

But doesn't that fuck up your handling Gav?Cos of track width and kingpin alignment or something.

Hi,
I've heard all the stories about this, but I don't slow down for corners, usually accelerate and can't fault the handling.
I'm more than happy I don't have to reshim ball joints for every MOT *happy*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Right. But you've got 13 inch wheels right Gav?
Maybe that makes a difference? Cos I'm going with 10s.
