hi anybody know which way round the wires connect on the centre speedo fuel gauge?

there are only two spade connectors one live from the tank other earth? heellp

One comes from the voltage regulator the other goes to the tank.
at the tank it goes through the sender to ground.

Cant remember offhand which one is which maybe someone else will remember I think it may have a male and female? if so the female is to the re4gulator.. But thats just a guess..

If you are really stuck put the regulator voltage on one terminal and ground the other, it should go to full, if it nails the enpty endstop ts the wrong way round!

In my experience it doesnt matter but the Haynes manual does show which way

Sweet! well both terminals are male spades and there are no markings so i guess it doesnt mater, you can kinda peer inside and it seems to be a small coil of wire so its a solenoid so polarity wont affect it..

Only voltage reg i have is the one attached to the back of my 2 dial driver side binacle which has 3 terminals, ground live and gauge feed i guess but thats not labelled either Grr might ebay a universal one tbh...
is it 10v constant they need by any chance??

Hi,
It should be a bi-metallic strip regulator so it'll be a pulsed output. A sounds like you've got the later electronic one.
