theres a company called BTN turbo's did all the exhange turbo's for where i used to work. How ever sometimes the quality vairys usualy on the schwitser turbo's though, I'd guess you would be fine buying one from them.

Try Universal Turbos.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

By the sound of things the GT17's have a reputation of being unrepairable. Alot of the company's have told me that they no longer offer a repair as an option as they are often FUBAR'd! Lol

No haven't bothered, I tried the breakers when I first wanted a GT17 and they were telling me prices of £200+ for a second hand "good condition" unit and from what ive been told by the rebuild companies and personal experience once they let go it doesn't take long for them to destroy themselves.

mine was reconditioned, but it had a problem with the exhaust turine, and he had to replace the whole shaft and wheel, but all that including a rebuild and bigger 360 degree thrust pad, means its easily safe for 20psi. Speak to mark and he will definately sort you out. His buisness is based on word of mouth so he is a top guy!

Cheers for the info ministef, but went with Active turbo as they don't care what condition the return unit is in. There exact words were "it doesn't matter what the condition is, there is usually something we can re-use on it". It was difficult not to laugh at that point as it is fubar!
