I very much doubt there will be enough thickness in the crown to get 18cc from a 7cc piston. |

That s a good point . I was getting ahead of myself... I have access to Omegas and I WANT to use them in my avonbar engine... but only if its cost effective.

How do know you need 18cc pistons when you don't know what CR you need to allow you to run the boost you need to run to make the power you desire?

Oh, I was only guessing about 18cc... wasn't a firm number, I was only wondering about the actual cost of doing the final work on the pistons... if that makes sense.

Decompression plates are for chumps and are a bodge and anyone true to any sort of engineering excellence would laugh at anyone considering such an idea.
