Hi,

I am wiring up my solenoid for my starter motor after dropping a new engine in my mini and changine from pre-engaged to inertia.

The only problem is that i dont have a red/white wire as some instructions say i should have to wire into the solenoid.

Please could anyone shed some light.

I have battery posituve. Two brown wires with ring end from alternator. A yellow/white wire from coil, and another brown/red with large spade connector from somewhere else. I also will buy a starter wire to go to the starter motor. So what am i missing.

the two brown wires from the alternator goes to the battery live on one of the 8mm posts of the solenoid the post left goes to the start motor the brown/red wire is the same as the white /red the colour is down to the year of the car this is your switch wire *smiley*
