Treated myself to some new pot joints recently to find they don't fit properly. The inner spline appears too long so does not clip on to the c ring thingy on the output shaft. After a few miles they wobble out.

Swapped them over for good 2nd hand ones and they fit fine.

Nick.

Got them from Mini Sport. Spoke to Minispares about theirs and they reckoned they got them from the same manufacturer. Minispares said they had not had similar problems. Didn't bother speaking to Minisport as I don't find them particularly useful...

I got mine from Minisport earlier in the year and they're absolutely fine.

I find Minisport to be very helpful - I'm sure if you speak to them they'll sort something out for you.

this i dont understand for 2 reasons number 1 youd paid for a part that is unfit for its purpose, you need a refund/ exchange and 2 if there is a problem with them minisport need to know to avoid further problems with other customers.

it could be you got a dodgey pair or they posted wrong ones either way ring them up and organise a solution!

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Agree with Carl 100% here. If the parts are no good get them sent back.

Fair point on the let Minisport know so they can do something about it, but I've used the inner part that was worn on my old set and used good 2nd hand outers to sort the problem so can't send them back.

Also, didn't have time and wanted to get it running.

Spoke to someone else at MITP that had a similar problem.

Nick.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Aren't they the same as the ("A" series) Metro ???

I know the Metro drive shafts are longer but I assume the pot joints themselves are the same.

I hope so because Metro ones are all I've got left in my box of bits....

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Lowestoft, Suffolk.

I had issues with mini spares ones, it turned out to be the gaiter, the section that sits on the shaft was too long and when in situ was strtched so when it rotates the gator trys to pull back into shape and pulls the pot out of the box.
