I believe the aim of them is to return the bottom arms to there original position when you lower the car and thus keep the rate of chamber change when cornering as it should be if that makes sense.

Hi,
By increasing the distance between the hub and bottom arm you increase the roll center, this reduces body roll as stated in the auction.
