Hi,
First question, inner or outer?
Second question, discs or drums?
Cheers,
Gavin:)

Hi,
If you've got the right tools it shouldn't take long. I'd undo the big CV nut and make sure the CV is free to move in the hub, this is usually seized in solid! *surprised*
If it is remove the hub with the driveshaft ( slide it out of the pot (inner) joint) then remove the shaft leaving the CV in the hub.
If it's not seized in just split both balljoints and track rod end then remove the hub. Remove the old gaiter and the CV should knock off the end of the shaft.
You can do it with the hub in place by just splitting one ball joint, but the hub will get in the way!
Make sure you've got the right tools for the job before you immobilse the car *surprised* You'll need a big socket and a long bar to get some leverage on that big nut. Ball joint splitter makes the job a bit easier, but not essential *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

if it is seized in and you cant get the Hub off for what ever reason, wind the big nut back onto the CV threads ( dont tighten it, just stick it on around 4-5 threads) then get some penetrating fluid (WD40 or something abit better) down on the splines. let it do its job for a minuite or so and then hit the nut with a hammer. Best to use an old nut so as that you dont mess it up and with the nut back on a few threads you shouldnt screw the threads on the cv.

KEEP CHECKING THE THREADS THOUGH IF YOU DO NEED TO GO THIS ROUTE, DONT GET TOO CARRIED AWAY WITH THE HAMMER!!

Bats way above is the way to do it, Mine is just a last resort!
