as far as i can remember the ratio is 1:5.

Yes approx 5:1 on rear and 3:1 on the front

But go down to your ride height gradually as usually they settle over a day or two and you can easily end up too low.

Also be careful that you don't go too low and crush the flexible brake pipe on top of the radius arm

If you shorten the rod by 1mm, the ride height will drop by 5mm (at the back).

It doesn't work by "turns" as the pitch of the thread is not 1mm.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but has anybody fitted the competition hardness rubber cones on the rear to allow for closer tolerances between the tyre and arch. had it down where i want it and turned the stiffness up on the shocks but the tyre was catching over the bad bumps in the road. This was on standard donuts but just wondered if the uprated ones would help?

Hi,
You may be better off to cut the rear arches out as the hard cones may mean more trips to the dentist! There's a thread on here with more details and pics ..
Cheers,
Gavin :)

If you have the back that low on a road car then you either have the front to rear height balance wrong or your trying to run the whole car too low.

Driveshafts level for a road car will make it much nicer to drive than anything lower than that and the car will suffer for it on anything other than silky smooth race tracks.

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I'm running it an inch lower all round, i was just experimenting and it looked so cool running dead low but it gives too hard a ride and the ground clearence is down to about 3 inches. Think i'll just use it in sensible mode rather than drug dealer mode!

Set the front end up so that the driveshafts are level and the rear about 20mm higher .... will handle sooooo well.

Was that directed at me mate???

If so, no I won't be coming along. I either have some grass to watch growing or some paint that needs to be observed as it dries ...... both infinitely more interesting than drag racing as far as I am concerned.

Might well go to Avon though as it's close for me and I want to meat a few of the people here and most seem to go to Avon. Won't be taking the car on the strip though.

Hopefully see you around.
