West Sussex - dreaming of forced induction!

Cons: Pain in the chuff to mount an alternator if your not using the standard brackets and alternator (unless you are good at fabricating stuff)

Oil filter as turbodave said

Pro: No dizzy hole to blank off

Heavier than an A+ block

Cam sensor hole could be used for oil drain, but then no cam sensor, but what does that matter *wink*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Oh and you cannot use one of those oil pressure adjusting thingymabobs, but thats not really a tradgedy as there are shite anyway.

One other thing I found was the oil pressure spring cap nut fits the hole with the oil temp sensor, I intend to use one drilled to accept a mechanical oil gauge *wink*

Cleaner core casting

only four core plugs (saves you 60 pence *wink*)

except they limit the amount you can overbore.

why cant you just bore the old liner away and put in new ones which are larger?

i presume because they would have to be a certain thickness and that you would have to bore out so big to put the bigger liners in it would be close to oil ways and water ways ect.

If you have an MPI engine, be easier just to do the business with the crank thats fitted. :)
