Basically the 16v head will flow a little better and I believe the torque comes in a little higher up in the revs. The 8V heads can be made to fit a small bore block but the 16V im not soo sure? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

As it was explained to me and from my own observations the K head conversions give you a more driveable engine along with the horse power gain. and as said above the 8v delivers better torque low down in the rev range.

The basic difference is that the 16v will flow more than the 8v thereby there is slight gain in volumetric efficiency, particularly at high revs.

Vizard got a patent on his PolyQuad idea. He uses one big, one small valve on the intakes, and ditto exhaust. So his 4V/cyl gets tumble and swirl, works like a 2V at low rpm. I like the idea and want to try it on a K head.

I have a theory that the 8v would be better under very high boost because the 16v exhaust valves are too close together. I can't see that being a problem as the bike tuning companies run silly boost on the 16v's!

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

If the 16v has an achillies heel then my guess is that it will be exhaust valve seats.

Just right click on the photo, click properties then highlight the URL address. Add [i.m.g] before then [/i.m.g] after. But miss out the full stops in between the letters. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel
