black centers with body coloured rim.

all black is too much IMO you cant really see the design of the wheels.

Ah nice one! Still can't decide though!*laughing*

I like the all black, but like you say you might not be able to see the design?

How about a real dark grey colour? *oh well*

It is true to point, bear in mind the all black 'shop is just my attempt at trying to make them look black and glossy. What I found in reality is while you don't get a lot of diffuse reflection, they kick off a lot of specular reflections around the rim and on the edges of the spokes. So you do still make out the design that way.

Unfortunately can't find a pic of mine side on but they do actually look quite good gloss black, in my biased opinion!

thats what i though andy , if they are REALLY glossy ,then all the reflections would work well to bring out the pattern .

Black with a bit more reflection.

Here's what they might look like with a not quite black matt finish.

just having a little mess around trying to get used to the program and sort of try and figure out what im doing!

i couldnt work out how to de-select the windows from my selection of the top half so they came out tinted but you get the idea. (i know its not very good but you get the jist) i, just liking having a mess around.

this is my current favourite way to spray a mini with the two tone splitting along the bodyline. its how im doing mine but i just dont know what colours!

Okay don't know if this is the 'proper' way to do it but this is the most effective way I found after messing around.

Using the Path Tool (1) you can create paths which can then be turned into selections by clicking the Create Selection From Path button. You can then subtract from a selection (2) by creating a second path (3) inside the first.

Once you're happy with your selection you can use any of the colour tools (Tools -> Colour Tools -> Colourise) etc to get the desired effect.

Paths are the best way I've found because you can save and modify them at a later time. Select the Paths tab in the Layers window and the path you've created should be there, click the Path Visibility button (4) and click on the path on your image and it will bring back all the points you created. You can drag the corners out or create bezier curves as you can see I've done in the second image. These can be fine tuned with the little boxes that appear.

I hope that made at least little bit of sense lol!

Here's the paths I used for cossiericks 'shop. Once you get the hang of it's much quicker and far more powerful.
