I am new to the world of Mini's and I am interested in a having an engine conversion to something a bit quicker. Not being the DIY type, can anyone recommend a turbo engine that wouldn't be too much hassle to put in (and therefore not too expensive) and a quality company to do it?

Alternativley, any other engine options? And cost's involved?

(I hear the Metro Turbo is a usual way. Any idea where to source an engine or is it a Fleabay job!?)
Many thanks guys...

Hi
Welcome to TM :)
Whilst there is a huge amount of info on this site available via the search button, I'm not aware of a company that would build and install an engine for you.
There's a milion different combinations of engine parts, igntion and turbos so loads of research is needed to make sure you get what you want without getting had over *surprised*
Cheers
Gavin :)

I would give it a go yourself. There is everything that you need to know on here. If you cant find what you are looking for, just post and you will usually have an answer within a few minutes.

The thing is, What are you going to do when things start to go wrong, if you do not know how your car works.

Get your hands dirty and either save yourself 3.5k or spend the extra money making your car better.

In the 13's at last!.. Just
