i only have a couple of inbetweenies and then the final pic before paint:)

the hole just goes through the main bulk head i am almost certain it is accessible from just under the dash,

i did not plate over the hole, i made a plate than fitted into the hole then seem welded around it and ground it flat, after paint you could not tell*happy*

they dont look too bad lol,

1) wire brush cup on an angle grinder then neaten up with a grinding disc
2) make a template out of cardboard,
3) cut out of steel,
4) weld in to the hole keeping the plate flush with the original lines
5) not forgetting to treat / remove all the rust and cover with an etch primer and something like hamerite

jobs done.

Seems to be acommon problem caused by the double layer of metal there, Heres's my fix, I used thicker than normal plate to make up for the double thickness..

Hi,
Factory fitted that rust!
The brackets are bolted on before they paint it! *surprised*

When I was repairing my van I made up a template for the piece behind the inner wing that makes it double thickness. Will find it tomorrow measure and scan in. M
