Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

advice is treat all de scabbed rusted areas with underneath panels new wings etc with red oxide primer.

you can mig weld throug this, the rust keeps well at bay following a top coat of houshold gloss and ........ then! shults with added waxoil trust me.

everyone gets stung with the brought bought thing mate trust me!!! lol its all in good heart just a certain Viking telling us english how to speak our language *tongue*

Steve: i hate waxoil!! yuk never dries!! horrible to weld anywhere near aswell! i would have thought schutz on its own would be fine dries hard and its ok to grind off agin if you ever need to.

IMO of course.

I always get rid off ALL of the rust either by cutting it all out or grinding it all out. then you can buy weldable etch primer which is pretty good but generally only used for spot welds.

no matter what you paint behind the patch with that will allow you to weld through as you have to seam weld it its just going to burn away around the weld with the heat. unless you take it stupidly slowly but is it really worth it!

once you have welded the new patch in mate get some brusable seam sealer and paint it over the welds. seeing as it doesnt really matter what this area looks like this will prolong the life of the welds in a big way mate.

up here we say bocht!

Oh and dinitrol is the way to go. Sprayed some on bare metal about 3 years ago! Cant get it off to put proper paint on! But there aint no sign of rust! And thats on the underside of my boot floor. I hit it with dinitrol to keep the rust at bay while I did the sills. This winter I am doing the whole underside of the car with it. and it aint sticky. I bocht, brought, bought it in Hellfrauds but they dont seem to do it now, but Frost have it. Good luck. Play it safe and use purchased from now on!

i think its because we had a customer come into work and wanted some seats fitted into the back of his Transporter which we did. only to find that he had waxoiled the INSIDE of van. Trust that to be a nice hot day with me wearing shorts and the invevitable black knees happened.

that coupled with the countless welding jobs that come in and im left with burning waxoil dripping on my overals setting me on fire! burning through into my legs/arms, grrr

arggghhh and the smell when its burning! yuk!!

maybe i do know why i hate the stuff!!
