Hi guys,

Some of you may remember I posted about a project I was starting at Uni to Redesign the Classic Mini Dash.

I know some of the questions may seem stupid and irrelevant but it all helps my research. So if you would be so kind as to take 2 minutes answering these and either PM'ing the answered questions back to me. Appreciate it!

Cheers guys,

Ben

(EDIT: If your planning on filling these questions in, follow this link, its quicker and easier for you to fill it in there. Thanks)

Your Dash…

Have you got the standard dash and dial setup installed?

What type of dash do you have fitted?

What dials and readouts do you have in the dash/console?

What switches do you have in the dash/ console?

Do you have any type of cd player, radio or any other device fitted?

What Mk shell is it you have?

If you could…

What readouts other than the speedometer, petrol level, water temp would you have?

Would you have these as digital or traditional dials?

Are there any colours, materials or finishes you would have incorporated into the dash?

Would you have the dash include some sort of centre console?

Would you consider fitting some sort of airbag in the dash if it was available?

Are there any other devices that you would have fitted into the dashboard?

Yeah if you could! That would be good.

But, I also need the completed questionaires if possible. Its a requirement for the project to have this sort of thing as research.

Thanks James.

Cheers,

Ben.

Cool cheers Josh,

If anyone does get time to fill in those questions I would really appreciate it.

Im going to up Heritage soon as they have been kind enough to offer to help me out with shell dimensions and possibly some drawings, we shall see.

How easy can you get hold of modeling clay? You could calve out a scale model.

Yeah thats an idea, we have a few Rapid Prototyping Machines at uni aswell, so im going to see if I can get a couple of scaled prototypes made once I get into the designing stage.
