Hi all, I'm after a company to rebuild my metty turbo lump due to low oil pressure. I would have a bash myself but being a daily driver, and being my first build I'm not to confident on having ago.

So can anybody recomend a company quite local to the mansfield/Nottingham area that would take on the build/inspection. It's a complete engine at the minute so would require a complete strip down and then inspection to find out why the low pressure.

Would be GREATLY appreciated if anybody on here fancied the challenge too.

Thank
Tom

Hi,
First off have you checked the pressure relief valve, or is it already making knocking noises?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

is it smoking or showing any other signs of being tired?

Mine had really low pressure, replaced the oil pressure release valve with the ball type and it's been fine ever since. Obviously don't know enough details about yours to say that will cure it... but when a new valve is a tenner, it's got to be worth a punt.

I haven't actually had the engine running, I was sold it as low oil pressure but not knocking. I'm hoping to get the engine running soon to get a oil pressure gauge on to find out what 'low' pressure is. I will try the relief valve too when the time comes to it, thanks for the advice lads. Thanks
