I was just looking through Ebay for some gauges. My preference is for Racetech gauges, but I quite like the look of the Swoosh gauges:

They are slightly cheaper and do all the gauges I want, including boost in psi. So has anybody used them or know what the quality of them is like?

if you dont mind me asking how much boost do you run? i really want a boost gauge up to about 20psi as i want to run about 15psi, the 30psi gauges seem an over kill for most of the mini's on here (as far as i know) and quite alot of people run 15 or so psi.

i have some of the swoosh gauges, a bit shit really. sent one boost gauge back as it did eff all, the egt gauge keeps deciding to do its own thing randomly, not tried the tacho yet, also i think they are draining my batery with the key off. oh and they do this needle sweep thingwhen you turn the key on or off which IMO is so gay.

At the moment 17 PSi, but should be more after my tinkering over winter. Would have liked a 20 PSi gauge, but these suited my needs for a reasonable price. They've got peak hold, warning alarms (audio and visual) and are all electronic. They also have dual illumination - I have them set up so that they illuminate bright white for day driving, but when I switch my headlights on they change to red illumination so they don't give off a bright glare at night.

Thanks for your comments. I suspected that they ma be a bit crap, I will save for racetech I think.

As for boost we run 15psi (with potential for 20psi). A 30psi gauge will be fine, I don't want full scale to be my max boost.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

They do if you get the ones with lights!! haha.

If you go on merlin (where i'd personally buy them from, and will eventually) you can get backlit or non backlit ones.

Ones with lights arent that much more either, nice gauges! I've got a mechanical oil presure one and its pukka!

Anyone seen those Defi gauges? Theyre super-pimp, not cheap though! Im not sure if you can use them on a mini though?

Search on youtube, they do that needle sweep thing, and are completely black till you turn the ign on. Badass
