Just got back from A&E having snapped one of the tendons in my right hand, so it look like I've got a couple of shit weeks of doing nothing ahead of me.

EDIT turned out to be a ligament not a tendon, still it made an impressive cracking noise.

I drill holes in everything..!

I did something similar at work a few years ago. Had to push a fast moving, large piece of scenery away from a lighting tower, my hand slipped and I over extended the ligaments in my wrist. I was out of action for months :(

If you fall over you will try to break your fall and it will go snap again.

How long you out of action for? Ids take a guess at around 6 weeks they have advised without work.

Don't know how long I'll be out of action for, I'm booked into see a specialist Monday morning, I'm actually worried that I got an appointment that quickly. I work in an office so it doesn't effect work (I can type quite happily, use the phone & go to meetings with only one hand) where it's real screwing me is my life outside of work, pretty much no working on the car & no sports.

I've a feeling it'll be a gradual recovery, taking quite a few months based on when I knackered my achilles tendon, and will never be 100% again.

Saw the specialist this morning, one off the few benefits of living next door to a major trauma clinic and it would appear that my Volar Plate is now only connected at one end so I'm not allowed to do anything with it until after Xmas :(
