Hi there,
ive done a search but i havent been able to clearly work out what im ment to do with regards plumbing in the boost gauge and the boost adjusting valve.

Ive plumbed it in where i think and how i think is correct, HOWEVER before i turn it over i want to be sure it is right so thought you gusy woudl be able to help, ive labeled up a pic ive taken to make things abit clearer

( if this is right it could possibly be a sticky for anyone else struggeling plumbing the adjuster in)

Thanks

Put the To Turbo bit to the Dizzy Feed feed on the carb and then remove the T-Piece from the Boost Adjuster setup completely. Then on the T-Piece (that has to boost gauge written on it) plumb your dizzy advance retard tube or you dump valve on here.

You dont plumb your Gauge in from the Turbo Housing because this will probably be a false reading. Its better on the carb or manifold as this is whats going into the engine.

well, ive redone some drawings :-? ok pikey rough paint diagrams, they should make sense. the first is what you said, but then where does the adjuster go and the gauge as there are no other places i can see on the carb or inlet for them to go?

The second diagram is another that could work with all parts.

damn it would be sooo much easier if someoen local that knew about it could come help me out *frown*

Hi,
Don't do it!
You want a carb spacer with a vacuum take off (Mini Spares?)
Connect to said take off dump valve and boost gauge.
Put the pipe you're holding, in the picture above, onto the fitting on the compressor housing.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

or if you want it done today pop down your motor factors and buy a couple of brake calliper bleed nipples. drill and tap them into your inlet manifold and use one as the feed for your boost gauge and the other as a spare or for if you fit a dump valve.

Ohh, that makes sense thanks guys.

The dump valve is going in the brake master cylinder bolt thing (in the top ive seen it done on another mini and it seemed to be ok)

I will get one of them spacer plates and put the gauge on that *happy*

So bat when you say put the pipe onto the compressor housing does that mean with the boost adjuster T still in situ.

Yes yes im sorry for all the questions *frown*
