Whats cracking, the alternator or pump?

Whats the belt tension like, sounds like it could be trying to twist on the bracket? *Confused*

Hmm seems a little odd? Maybe something like this may help?

this is exactly what i need, that is showing a small bracket from the water pump to the alterator though. is that to line it up with the alternator bracket??

Its been mounted "upside down" compared to mine and others. The lug on the bottom of that pic is offset a little more so it will bolt onto the pump, and near enough line the pulleys up. Notice there is also spacers between the second mount and block to bring that inline too.

Looks like a good way of fitting it without having to file brackets down, it will just sit a little further away from the block.

You sorted your cracking waterpump problems yet phil?

I wasnt sure how everyone else was mounting theres and thats what I came up with.

Got any pictures of the 'normal' way of mounting these matty? :)
