The gearshift in the mini does feel long, I am going to cut down the gearstick and see if that has a dramatic effect on how it feels, however was just wondering what peoples opinion of the kad one is.

Yeah i've got one, and would get one again if I had to but as with all the KAD stuff the price is quite a disadvantage!

i had/ have one in my off the road mini took some getting used to but gives it a nice short clunky feel Yes i moved to the darkside |

It improves the feel no end, first and third get quite close to each other, so does second and fourth but as people say you get used to it. It does require a little more effort to shift as the fulcrum is moved up but yeah it's a good buy alright. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

think i have heard that these damage the gearbox somehow (maybe syncros). not sure if calver of someone said that, or how true it is. ta |

Cant really see how they would? It's the same motion as when changing with a normal gear stick |

i have the older style one, no lift up collar but i would buy one again, as everyone has said it takes a while to get used to but is soooo much better |

i brought a cheap one from some where like mini spares and to be hones it makes a difference but i had to modify it to fit properly i would by a proper KAD one if u going to get one at all Edited by turbominij on 27th Nov, 2008. I would fit 1 to any mini i have nwn There fantastic. Ive got 1 on my gt with 6 gears and its still simple enough to use once u get use 2 it. |
