ok i know stuff like this has been covered hundreds of times but i have searched and cant find anything to answer the question for me so thought i would ask nicely :)

just bought a metro turbo engine and the person gave me an electronic distributor with it, said it was the right one but im not too sure as i have seen the turbo one is ment to be 42628 if that is correct, the one i was given has the part number 42626H on the body and has 84567B on the module, is this the correct dizzy? or can it be used ona standard metro trubo engine?

thanks in advance

Hi
^ what he said! On the other hand the best way to check the dizzy is with a timing light on the engine or pull it apart and check the numbers on the weights.
Cheers
Gavin :)

You are after a dizzy from the metro turbo they generally have a red dot on them. i run a dizzy but now wondering if i should have gone megajolt route.

If you can afford the megajold setup then go that route mate you wont have to do what I am doing and thinking if it worth changing.

thansk for the quick replies, i keep seeing megajolt com e up in threads and to be honest i would love to have it but not sure if my budget will scretch that far at the moment, if it is the wrong dizzy i have then i will return it for a proper metro turbo one as im sure the man i bought the engine off had a few sitting about, think this will be the cheaper option until the cash flow improves, anyone know what sort of price it would be for a full megajolt set up? its for a standard metro turbo engine

Hi,
Well you can get most of it from a scrap yard.
You'll need coil pack, HT leads EDIS module and crank sensor from an Escort or Fiesta. Make sure you get the plugs with some wire on them to tfit the above. Them you just need the MJ ECU and you're about done :)
Cheers,
Gavin :)
