Thanks to Zero T, I've just been browsing some interesting articles on the GoFastNews website.



Vizard makes some interesting observations about the A-series and it's apparent dislike of finely vapourised fuel.

I'm sure that there is some useful stuff in there, just need time to read it all.

If you read the Turbulence and Combustion Dynamics stuff he talks about his Mini experiences.

I'm sure this will be helpful in sorting out fuel injection on the 5 port head.

I found it interesting that the Avenger engine worked better with finely atomised fuel and the pistons 3mmm down the bore.

Whereas he found that the mini worked better with "globs" of fuel.

There's a mention of fuel atomisation in the blue bible at least, when testing a Piper Fi system iirc.

1st relese circe 84? was blue 2nd circa 92? was yellow, twas updated for the third release in 2002?

Yellow bible mentions A-series preferring less atomization when discussing alternate carbs - Weber downdraft & Reece Fish (sp?).
