hi this has prob been brought up before? just bought metro turbo engine was just wondering how do i tell if its leaded or unleaded? cheers

Hi,
You need the engine code AFAIK. I don't think there were any unleaded turbos?

The last of the Metros may well have been, but that doesn't mean the last of the "A" series turbo were.

But, TBH, the way parts have been swapped over the last 20 years, the only way you will know on your own cylinder head is to look at it... closely :)

its only a part in the head that makes it suitable for unleaded fuel

literally just the valve seats, youll have to whip the valves out and take a look, a quick search on google will show you waht to look for

all turbo heads i have done i have not found any hardend seats in

you will find hardend inserts in the exhausts not the inlets on some post 89 metro engines with 33mm inlet valves
but .... not on turbo heads.

i can fit inserts for you if you wish please pm me
