Well after 3 engines and 7 years of abuse its finally off the road for a rebuild make her look her best for mini 50, pannels to be replaced so far are :-
rear quarters and windo frame lower rail
wings
scuttle and top dash rail
a pannels
complete front pannel
sort some rust on drivers door and rear doors
then paint and put her back together, just a few pics of progress so far not bad for three days work.

Nice, whats the intended spec?

Is it staying the same colour?.

I dare you to add up how much money youve got in boxes when its all in bits, thats whats scary.

Christ! When I saw this at Mini's V Beetles (at least I think thats where I saw it) it looked immaculate to me. I can only assume that its gonna be even better when it goes back on the road this time.

well bin buisy again today getting the front end to fit nice had to modify the genuin front pannel as the drivers side headlight pannel was lower than the passengers and a bit fettling of the inner wings to get the bonnet gaps nice (just bigger than a pound coin) just got to spot it all on now might be tomorows job.

Few questions...

a) What have you done with the wing/scuttle seams looks really tidy.
2) What's the box on the inner wing for??
D) What's the little black boxes on the inner wing for??
