Wohooo my brakes have arrived, well some brakes have lol, i ordered the 8.4 kit and got the 7.9inch kit, i couldn't decide witch to get in the first place, im just going to keep these, no pics as yet bum im hoping to get the rear subby back on next week, its all go!! :) Yes i moved to the darkside |

there is a few bits and bobs left to do on the front subby, the top arms never got painted because the hamerite yellow paint is shite and just flakes off :( and rather woryingly the ride hight at the front is stupid, i know there is no engine and it needs to settle but its got maybe 3-4 inches to drop before im happy and the adjustable cones are fully wound down :( Yes i moved to the darkside |

unfortunately its the week after mitp that im aiming to get the engine in im hopping to strip it down and rebuild it before then im looking for pistons too.. im unsure whats best i dont have 400quid to chuck in some forged im also looking for a fairly high CR. dont think the spi pistons will cut it im looking to future proof the pistons more than owt Yes i moved to the darkside |

there high tensile Allen bolts think there tensile rating is 10.9

test fitted the roll cage to day, fitted quite well to say its probably a home build cage, one door bar is a good inch longer than the other though Yes i moved to the darkside |

just a quick update, the engine from minimadmotorman is fully stripped, and been to the machine shop to have everything priced up, all the work on the block can start as soon as i get my hands on some pistons, accralite are out of stock in +20 and +40 thou 18cc.. witch leaves avonbar or some cheaper pistons Yes i moved to the darkside |

im not hunting around for huge figures, im more interested in a good amount of usable torque i think 150 bhp should be easily in reach, if i can get more without been too close to the limit i will,

Alen head bolts suffer when being torqued down best get a full hard on with torx bolts.

bit of an update, last weekend i ripped out the cage, chopped off all the bolt on tabs ground down all the joins because a couple cracks showing through the paint, it has also been modified to move it further back on the chassis i have managed to gain 5 inches of travel for my seat :) i plan on rebuilding the front half of the cage when i gain a pipe bender in the next couple of months.. :)
