Hi,
That's no good, you want a coil for electronic ignition, assuming you've got the turbo electronic dizzy on the engine *wink*

Coilpack ???

The Metro Turbo engines were well before EMS and coilpacks, ie, they don't use them.

And the link you have posted is for a conventional coil, well basically conventional but with the added "Sports" description....

Seriously though, you need to do a bit of research and find out what you are actually missing - I very much doubt if you are missing a coilpack.

What have you actually acquired and how complete is it (and where did it come from) might help us answer your questions.

well from my limited knowledge i need the "coil", the spark plugs, the spark plug leads, the dizz cap, and the "dizzy arm" i got the engine of the bay, it was spossed to have complete, but i was screwed. my other problem is i never know if the parts i find are actually for the engine i have, which is a metro turbo engine, at least that what i was told i was buying

Hi,
Your local car spares place should have most if not all these items in stock, if they're any good! The engine number would be a help.
Take the rocker cover off and check the stems of the exhaust valves are a bigger diameter than the inlets.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Post a photo of what you have and post a link to the ebay listing (if it's within the 60 day limit since it was sold and the link still works).

You caused a bit of confusion using the word "coilpack" that usually refers to a multiple coil used on dizzyless ignition, not normally fitted on Metro turbo's

First thing is to work out if you have the correct engine, start with the engine number. then correct dizzy, it should have a black module on the side.

then you need the "electronic type" coil

(BTW thats the REAL minispares, the one you had was a fake)

just go to Minispares and search around, you'll find everything there

This does not sound too promising. If they have messed you around for such minor bits you may need to look a little deeper.

thats what i thought too, so i took it to a friend who knows a bit about engines to see if everything is ok with the internals.. will get the engine number up asap to see if it actually is a metro turbo engine.
