I can't understand peoples reaction to living near motor racing venues. I work very near to Snetterton race track and the noise is loud if big stuff is testing but not that bad. As many people said the circuit was there long before the current occupants of the house. Unfortunately its happening everywhere, i know of big restrictions imposed at Zandvoort to 10 noisy days and serious restrictions at Monza too. And the race circuit was there a long time before most of the people living there!!!! And how do you value damage like that to such an amount?

Croft is a bit far away for me but I might have to wander round Combe and see if any of the locals want to sell me there house at a knocked down price as it's in an undesirable area.

When I worked at Rolls Royce its just over the road from Goodwood race circuit, literally 100m from my office was the track grounds and the noise was never that bad!

Even on the Revival weekend it was bearable, the spitfires made more noise buzzing the track!!

Its a joke, people obviously know what its going to be like before they move there, as soon as they see an oppurtunity to make a few quid they start balling their eyes out its pathetic.

People live next to railway lines airports and football stadiums, if youre not going to like the noise dont move their in the first place, its inevitable!

My mate lives by B'ham airport.
He had some idiots come round with a petition to shut the airport due to noise.
He asked them where they flew from when they went on holiday..... You can guess the answer!
