Hi, im using a Diagonal Split System for the brakes, no servo, ap yelloy tag master.

Should i be using a bias valve or some kind of reducer for the rear brakes??

if so what should i be using? buying? What’s the easiest option?

Im hoping not as i don’t fancy changing it for a while..

cheers.

Ooh nasty nasty nasty *oh well*

Think about converting to the much safer front rear split *wink*

Edit, I didnt think you could use the yellow tag cylinder on a diagonal split as one circuit will get more force than the other giving uneven braking. Does your car crab under heavy breaking?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

havent used the car yet or have fluid in the lines.. thought i would ask before bleeding it.

Why is the diagonal system not as safe as the front rear split?

cheers.

you're braking on opposite corners, so the braking force is not distributed accross the axle and you end up with wheels turning at differnet speeds forcing the car to turn or crab or worse.

I had an old range rover with a shot front wheel bearing. If you braked hard, that wheel would lock up and the car would go very quickly onto the wrog side of the road. not fun!

Yes dont bother with that carbuncle!!

Consider getting a bean can style master cylinder that has one outlet, then use a T piece to split between the front and the back.
Then get a bias valve for the back brakes and robert is your mothers brother

Strange, I couldn't see the family resemblance when I met him a couple of weeks ago?

would that not mean if one brake is lost due to a leak all 4 are lost, would a yellow tag master cylinder not be better with front /rear split and then a bias valve on the rear line?

i ask mainly cos thats what i had planned,*happy* i have not bought my new master cylinder yet so just wanto be sure before i do*happy*
