Personally I would have spent the dosh on an adjustable bias valve for the rear brakes and junked that compensator. Too late now though.

How are you using that to make a diagonal system?

Vegard - i remember you saying it belonged in the bin when i asked if i needed one.. but assumed you were talking about the second hand one on offer.. oh well - will have to run with it now and see how i get on

There seemes to be some confusion here. There are three types of limiter valve. 1) Fits on the bulkhead and cannot be modified to make it adjustable 2) Fits on the bulkhead and can be modified to be adjustable 3) fits on the rear subframe (used in early single line systems) and can be modified to be adjustable. Just don't ask me the differance between to two types that fit on the bulkhead. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I'm pretty sure this type can be adjusted, as the adjustment gubbins is whats hidden under the crimped on cap on the left hand side. |

That valve is also a safety valve so if you loose all pressure on either the front or the rear, it closes off that circuit preventing you from pumping out all the brake fluid. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

that thing on the bulkhead (called a P.D.W.A. - pressure differential warning activator) is there purely to maintain line pressure in one half of the system (be it front/rear or diagonal split) in case of failure in the other. It DOES NOT regulate the line pressure when braking with the system working normally as many believe. Some of the regulation is done in the master cylinder, the rest with the wheel cylinders. Calver's words not mine. I drill holes in everything..! |

No, i think you will find that it does regulate the rear brak pressure On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
