Springs were featured in Mini World magazine this time, last year. Bought from Mini Tastic, but restoration project had now been abandoned, so they have never been fitted.

Loving the fact that their website tab says "suspention"

I was looking at these for my build a while ago - but I was put off by a post on here where a few said that the cones were a far better option, and these wern't the greatest replacement? - I might be incorrect.

I'll have to dig and see if I can find the post I mean.

Although to be fair that post was back in 2005, would be interesting to see if peoples opinions have changed, or if anyone else has any experiences of them?

I'm surprised. I bought them on the weight of the review in Mini World, which seemed to rate them really highly. Didn't ever get as far as fitting them, so can't comment for myself. I know there are some other springs around (sracer?) that seem to sometimes get dubious reviews, and seem a bit marmite-like in peoples opinions...

Edit: Ah yes, I had read those reviews, long before I bought these ones. I think these are supposed to be different - much better according to the Mini World review. Annoyingly, I can't find the magazine which they were in. I think it was the February/March 2008 edition, somewhere towards the back. They did review them very favourably, and if I remember correctly, mentioned that there had been problems with other springs in the past, but that these were much better quality.
