hi guys,
new to the forum and i've got a question.
the turbo lump i'm fitting is from a 1989 mg metro and judging from most of the threads on this site i'm 99.9% sure it's made for leaded petrol(haven't had the head off to check the valve seats). i'm fitting it into a 1994 mini sprite which needs to run a cat for the mot, but you can't run a cat with leaded. would you guys get it converted to unleaded or use a lead additive?(not sure how the additive would effect the cat)
thanx

Hi,
I would imagine additive + cat is going to be a bad idea. I'm fairly sure it's not good for lambda sensors!
Cheers,
Gavin :)
