a thought occured to me today in one of my mad bursts of brain use, why is the turbo inlet manifold different to all the other inlets available and can another be used instead and is there any gain?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

It promotes better fuel/air mixing if i remember rightly. its made for the job i know that and much better than n/a ones for turbo use. TD did explain why but i cant quite remember the details. end of the day rover wouldnt have gone to the expensive of making a new inlet if it wasnt needed *smiley*

i was told that for turboing the a-series you need a inlet that looks like the metro turbo inlet to help prevent charge robbing

if charge robbing is a problem on n/a engines, then i guess its even worse on turbo engines, i'm certainly going to try and fit one to my mirage manifolds

Yes a n/a one does fit but it nearly touches the exhaust manifold......and the flange is a lot thinner...........so bought a turbo one of ebay *smiley* *smiley*
