Getting into thinking about sorting my mini out so it handles better. was thinking about rear anti roll bar, but thinking it might make the exhaust have to site to far to the ground so there isn't much clearence between that and the road.

Any one had problem with the clearence for a road car?

Matt, get rid of the rubber joints in the front suspension first. This will help lots.

No problems with exhaust clearance if you put it in the boot.

Cheers Paul and it looks really good, i knew someone would say that as i noticed that Jimster had his in there. But what if i want to keep my heavy tank and not cut a hole in the floor?

Good point about the tank.

You don't need an ARB on a road mini to make it handle well.

Good wheel alignment and solid mounts is all that should be needed.

And don't forget, power delivery is a big factor in how a car handles.

Solid mount the fromt subframe, some fixed/adustable neg camber bottom arms, adjustable tie bars with decent bushes should be a good start up fromt.

At the rear some camber/toe brackets are a good move.

This will give you enough adjustment to get it near enough.

Something like 1 deg neg camber, 4/5 degrees caster and some toe out up frony is a good basis to work on.

Rear, 0 deg chamber, slight toe out should give a nice neutral feel..

Avo shocks all around set to medium.

Bump stops are another feature often over looked, once the ride height is set you can play with those, you'd be suprised how much difference it makes..

One good thing with a rear ARB are that you can run the car really low and still have damper settings quite soft, no scrubbing:)

then go and see 'icklemini' tell him how you want it to handle and it will be done. totally transformed my car and the way it drove, was spot on for a daily drive imo.

I thought you added toe in on the rear for stability, and toe out at the rear to make it more lively

Nick, that was driver error, just ran out of talent!!..

You know I am messing Sir Scruffy!

Just Slight I reccomended, give the car a more neutral feel, less understeer.

Handling and grip are 2 very different animals remember..
