Can anyone help me with some pics please? My car was fitted with oversills a few years ago but I would like to fit proper sills to it. I am after pics of what I need to build back up when I fit proper sills. I never fitted the oversill so I dont know how bad it is underneath! I presume that the short sills (narrow) weld onto the floor pan at the points where they meet the floor but is the open/vented part of the sill sealed in anyway? I did try a search but couldnt find much. If anyone could point me in the right direction of a build thread that will have this in it that would be great. Is it worth doing with the narrow sills or should I just make sure I get rid of all the rusty metal and fit oversills again |

Just re read your question. Over sills are the Devils sills as they hold moitsutre in and your hardwork is undone in a few years. Always make the effort to remove the old sills, repair where necesary and fit short sills. It will last a lot longer! I'll second this. Minibitz (I think they were called) in Bolton whacked oversills over my old sills without even attempting to cut out the crap first. Lo and behold everything neeeded re-doing again 2 years later.
