Your best bet would be to import a metro turbo engine complete from the uk and work from there. That way you have a whole engine to improve in the same way everyone does on this forum. Its a far simpler option that buying/fabricating all of the parts you will need.

Mirage has a T2/T25 flange whereas a metro turbo manifold has a T3 flange. The metro manifold can be made work with a T2 flange if an adapter plate is used though.
I wouldn't get a metro engine as a base. It will require a full rebuild, and is basically no different to any 1275 other than the manifold, carb and ancient turbo. Rebuild a 1275 with an appropriate CR and put a modern turbo on it

Get the welder out. You could get the turbo flange and bends off ebay. You would probably have to make the head flanges as I don't think they are available on ebay.

Sorry, didnt read your other post about how many minis you had and how modified they were. You wont need to do what i said, you have the gear already.

I think your options are:

1) Get a std metro turbo manifold off here or ebay. Ive seen a few around £20, and get it posted over

2) Get a mirage manifold and get it sent over. £350, but you get the down pipe too. http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=5742

3) just get something made up local to you similar to either of the above

ok.
the best solution is to use standard manifold.
but if i cant get hold to it,
and the only solution is to custom made it,
how the bend would look like?
the pipe length,etc?

There is no real info on what manifolds work best on simaese ports. On paper, the Mirage looks like it would be useless but alot of people make amazing power with it. Also, Robert makes great figures with his metro manifold. Paul S is trying an over the clutch manifold. Benjamin has a big bore custom job and I dicked about with narrow pipes and different entry angles. No back to back tests though

Basically fit in what you can

Search the names Gary has given you and look at what they have done

isee
but i'm more interested towards the janspeed conversion manifold.
the turbo sits atop the clutch housing,so the bulkhead didnt need modifying.is it true?
also,if custom the manifold, wat is the pipe size,i mean the thickness of the pipe is the best for the job?

It depends on which TD04 as there are several different versions. I reckon the TD04 from the Saab 95 might be a good contender for a high boost 1275+ but would have to see a compressor map first.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

What is the A.R number on the turbine housing on that?

Basically what you need to do is work out what the car is going to be used for and then size the turbo accordingly.

If its a street car that's going to spend most of its time posing around town with a few quick sprints away from the lights here and there then there is no point whacking on a huge turbo! something like a GT1752 has been proven to give more than enough for that and still be more than nice to drive!

If its just a car that needs to be nice to drive and all out power isn't important then Turbo Tel has proven the GT15 to be a pretty much perfect turbo for that!

If its an all out racer (even then you have to determine whether its drag, track, hillclimb Etc) then your going to want good useable power and a more than likely not going to be all that worried about lag or driveability so you can go with a larger turbo that will be more efficient at higher boost levels. in this case your turbo may be o.k (as long as it doesn't surge)

err...
what is A.R?
how to calculate it?
i know its such a dumbiest question ever here, but i'm in the process of learning..
this car is going to be used for daily drive, scare off some boy racer and maybe a lil track day..

Read the turbotech over on Garrett if you're having difficulty dealing with the basics. A/R should be a number stamped on the housing (<1)
