some of people fit on 7.5" disc, i dont know if i can fit on 8.4" disc.

can i put a metal between caliper and the hub . make it to suit the 8.4" disc. or the caliper will touch the wheel? i use 13"wheel

The general idea is that the Fiesta callipers are used as a chep mod to fit 10" wheels.

If you have 13s then just use the standard callipers. If you want and upgrade then fit some 4-pots. although it's only really an upgrade ifyou fit the ally ones. as the Metro ones are really heavy and offer no real benefit to braking.

Fiesta calipers are very rare now. Presumably the pads will soon be unavailable.

Why bother unless you want a cheap way of fitting 10s.

okk, i think i should keep the standard calipers and fit a groove disc and better pads on it

no point going to an 8.4 on F calipers they will just over hang the pad more.

You can get 7.9 pre cut for good prices form places like MRA.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

fiesta caliper will not fit over the 8.4 discs, and the caliper will also not fit the stadard mini hub you need metro hubs.

I can't explain the full details yet as i am still fiddling with this setup, but the mini is driven practicly every day!!

ther is a guide on youtube ( fiesta caliper conversion ) if you would like to lokk at that.

as for the pads, the MK1 and MK2 fiestas are still seen on track days and these days you can still get Ferodo pads and even EBC green/yellow and red stuff pads

In holland where i am i can still get girling or lucas pads

Sorry, ( as i wrote i am still working on this) And thanks, that meens that I only need to pull the drive flanges of a metro in a local scrappy

Ive got calipar's And pads (ferodo)
8.4 solid discs turnd down to 7.9" (brembo)
Just need some time and a couple of brake hoses to fit.

Sorry for asking silly questions:$ but, on what are you running the setup? turbo-ed? power? how do they handel spiritid driving , hard brakeing etc. with pads are you useing or do you prefer?

I'm still running the original Rover MC with built in servo, seems to work OK so why change it.

Embarrassingly the 1293 turbo lump is still sat under the work bench & the mirage kit is in Birmingham I think so the BOC is running a Stage 1 MG Metty lump for now. I found the brakes more than up to any thing I can give them on the roads, managed to get them to lock up in the wet on the way to MITP a couple of years back but never managed to lock the wheels in the dry.

Have you made up some spaces & done some machining on the lathe by chance?

PS. The split tapper collar is the wrong way round.
